Acclaim Telecom Services, Inc., a leader in consumer mobile applications and PDX Inc., a leading pharmacy technology provider, today announced they have entered into an agreement to integrate Smart Mobile RX®—a fully featured mobile application specifically designed for pharmacy customers to interact on the go—with PDX pharmacy systems. Through integration with both the PDX Pharmacy System and the Enterprise Pharmacy System, over 10,000 pharmacies will be able to easily reach their patients through a variety of methods, including a feature-rich, consumer-smart mobile application, SMS/text messaging, e-mail, voice reminder and auto-refill.
Once the integration is complete, millions of patients who receive services from PDX pharmacies that implement the technology will be able to directly communicate with their pharmacy for refills and other valuable services. The availability of these multiple channels of communication will provide PDX pharmacies with the benefit of direct contact with their customers driving more refill revenue and increasing residual in-store purchases and other consumer loyalty marketing opportunities.
Smart Mobile RX® will be showcased at the NACDS Pharmacy and Technology Conference—the industry’s largest retail pharmacy and education trade show—being held at the San Diego Convention Center at the end of August.
