Dallas, Texas – September 18, 2009 – Women in Christian Media, a fellowship dedicated to connecting women working in Christian media in purpose and vision, announces their 4th Connections with the opening of their Chicago Connections. Join them on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 6:30PM at The Metropolitan Club Sears Tower, 233 South Wacker Drive, 66th Floor Chicago, Illinois 60606 for their very first Chicago Connections with Keynote Speaker Tara Jenkins, and Special Music by Artist Anita Wilson. Tara Jenkins, founder of Ministry Mates, is passionate in her explosive delivery of the Word of God to people globally. As an author and keynote speaker, Tara is also known as one who touches people where they live and sees the result of God’s transforming power in their lives. Her books include Wisdom for Wives and Moments with the Master. She is a graduate of Clark-Atlanta University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute, as well as a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Tara and her husband Pastor Charles Jenkins, her two young daughters and infant son, reside in Chicago Illinois.
Anita Wilson is one of Gospel Music's gems, possessing a unique vocal tone which offers soothing sounds of worship as well as powerful proclamations of praise. Anita serves on the Music Staff of Fellowship M. B. Church (Pastor Charles Jenkins) as Praise and Worship Leader and Choir Director.
Anita is also honored to record and travel, ministering in song with multiple award-winning Gospel Producer, Donald Lawrence. She was featured on Lawrence's latest project, "Law of Confession, Part I" on the uplifting son "Happy Being Me". In addition to her singing, Anita is a songwriter and aspires to become a music producer as well. She has been blessed with many gifts and talents, yet never fails to offer all glory to God.
