Cleaners will be found working in any number of places, depending on their skills levels and physical fitness. Cleaning is often hard, dirty work especially if it is done in factories or commercial premises. In many cases, you wouldn't work as a single unit, but be part of a team that operates a cleaning business.
If the cleaning were to be done on a construction site, then loads of rubble and waste would need to be cleared. This will not usually be done by hand to any great extent, but machines would be needed for clearing rubble. Similarly, cleaning in a factory will mean the use of heavy-duty machines, depending on what kind of factory it is. If there is machinery, it may need to be pulled down for cleaning, and this is a specialised job, with only people who are trained in the use of the machines able to do it.
Commercial premises may have carpets that need to be cleaned or steam cleaned, or flooring that needs to be scrubbed and polished. Electric scrubbers and polishers, while still operated by hand, make the job easier. Then there are residential buildings that require cleaning - and there are many a cleaner who do nothing but clean windows.
