In observance of National Women’s History Month, Pretty In Pinstripes – The 2009 Power Luncheon will be held in Maryland on Saturday, March 21, 2009. Judge Glenda Hatchett, of the award-winning television series “Judge Hatchett” will serve as the keynote speaker. In addition, five honorees of the “2009 Exceptional Women In Business & Government” awards were just announced. Nominations were open to professional women living in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia. Baltimore’s influential and courageous political leader Delegate Jill P. Carter, Esq. currently serving the 41st legislative district in the Maryland House of Delegates, Prince George’s County’s innovative community champion and businesswoman First Lady Leslie Johnson, trailblazing entrepreneur Desiree Callender of Callender and Associates Realtors, along with pioneering State Farm corporate executive and mentor to many Lillian B. Holt and “rising star” 25 year old R. Chiristol Williams owner of Chiristol Salon & Spa will be saluted during the 12’noon Power Luncheon being held at the Camelot by Martin’s in Upper Marlboro. WHUR’s Taylor Thomas will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies and Kersten Stevens, an electrifying jazz violinist, will also perform during the event.

Known for being strong, savvy and resolute Judge Glenda Hatchett was named one of the “100 Best and Brightest Women in Corporate America” by Ebony Magazine for her outstanding professional accomplishments prior to becoming a chief presiding judge in the George state court system and the department head of one of the largest juvenile court system in the country.
